Choosing from the Touch Monitors range
PCAP or resistive
Projected-capacitive (PCAP) touch gives multi-touch, a glass front, and the responsiveness users expect from phones — the default for POS, kiosks, and modern HMIs. Resistive touch still wins where operators wear thick gloves or where any conductive contamination would confuse capacitive sensing.
How to choose
Match size and resolution to viewing distance, confirm the touch interface (USB-HID works driverless on Windows and most Linux builds), and check mounting: VESA, panel-mount flanges, or desktop stands. For public-facing installations, specify tempered or anti-glare glass and consider sealing requirements at the front bezel.
